These are photos from an older trip, it's true. I imagine I will be posting more photos from previous Honors Program trips as we do tend to revisit these places with the new students. Fall 2011, for example, I'll be taking another trip to Goblin Valley and Little Wild Horse Canyon and would like to include a visit to the San Rafael Swell archaeology site where last year's Honors students were able to intern. Please feel free to leave a comment if you're interested in joining us!

The Honors Program at Utah Valley University hosts a number of events and activities for students through the Honors Colloquium class, a one-credit requirement for students entering the program. As part of a service component of the class, students had the opportunity to work with archaeologist and friend of the program, Dr. Renee Barlow, at a site in Utah's San Rafael Swell. See additional information at her archaeology blog.
